DIY Planet Halloween Costumes
Blast off this Halloween with a DIY planet costume made from hula hoops, sparkly washi tape, and gold rockets!

This easy costume uses hula hoops wrapped in glitter washi tape to create planetary rings, with shoulder straps made from yarn. A beanie hat topped with gold pipe cleaner rockets and gold star decorations complete the space-themed look.

- Apply a coat of gold spray paint to the plastic airplanes to turn them into rockets.
- Twist three gold pipe cleaners together for extra sturdiness, then bend them slightly.
- Attach the twisted pipe cleaners to the beanie hats using hot glue.
- Purchase four hula hoops (two per child) and decorate each with colorful glitter washi tape for a shiny look.
- Use yarn or string to fasten the hula hoops together, forming simple shoulder straps.
- Finish the costume by hot gluing gold stars onto the hats and tee shirts.
