Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at sarahscoop.com.
These easy Halloween banana ghost snacks are made by coating banana halves in vanilla Greek yogurt and white chocolate, then freezing them. Dark chocolate drizzled on top creates cute ghost faces. Let them soften for 20 minutes before serving for the perfect creamy texture.
Ingredients
Directions
- Scoop the vanilla Greek yogurt into a bowl and mix until it's smooth and creamy.
- Grate the white baking chocolate bar into a separate bowl or onto a tray.
- Peel a banana and cut it in half crosswise to make two ghost bases. Carefully push a popsicle stick into the cut end of each half.
- Dip each banana half into the yogurt, turning to coat it completely.
- For a thin yogurt layer (as shown in the picture), immediately roll the coated banana in the grated white chocolate. For a thicker layer, skip the chocolate for now.
- Place the banana ghosts on a parchment-lined baking sheet or stand them on a wire rack for a smoother shape.
- Repeat steps 3-6 with the remaining bananas, but peel and cut each banana one at a time to prevent browning.
- Put the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze until firm, about 1 hour.
- If you want a thicker yogurt layer, dip the frozen bananas in yogurt again, roll in grated white chocolate, and return to the freezer.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a small microwave-safe bowl in the microwave, stirring often to avoid scorching.
- Pour the melted chocolate into a small sandwich bag and snip off a tiny corner of the bag.
- Use the bag like a piping bag to drizzle chocolate onto each ghost—two dots for eyes and a circle for a mouth work well.
- Return the ghosts to the freezer and freeze until solid or until the chocolate hardens.
- Let the healthy Halloween banana popsicles sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving.
- Serve whole, with or without the popsicle sticks. Enjoy!
