These easy mini donut spiders are a fun Halloween project kids can make themselves. With just pretzels, mini donuts, M&Ms, and a bit of chocolate or frosting, you can create cute spider snacks in minutes. The simple steps involve cutting pretzels for legs, inserting them into the donuts, and adding candy eyes with a dab of chocolate.

Ingredients

large pretzel twists
mini donuts
M&Ms
a little frosting or chocolate (I always have chocolate chips on hand, so that's what I used)

Directions

Using a sharp knife, slice off the two rounded sides from a large pretzel twist.
Carefully insert eight of the pretzel curves into the top of a mini donut to create the legs. Go slowly to avoid breaking the pretzels.
Melt a small amount of chocolate in a sandwich bag (or use frosting) and snip a tiny corner off. Pipe a dot of chocolate onto the donut and press two M&Ms onto it for eyes.
