These easy witch hat cookies start with a devil's food cake mix base, baked into soft rounds. After cooling, pipe on vibrant neon frosting circles, add sprinkles, and top each with a Hershey's Kiss for a spooky sweet treat. Perfect for Halloween parties or trick-or-treat bags!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (or 325°F if using dark or nonstick pans). In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  2. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the cookies are set. Let them cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely, about 30 minutes.
  4. Divide the vanilla frosting into three small bowls. Tint each portion with neon gel food colors—orange, purple, and green—as desired. Spoon the colored frostings into separate small resealable plastic bags or disposable decorating bags, then snip off a tiny corner to create a 1/4-inch opening.
  5. Pipe a 1-inch circle of frosting onto the top center of each cooled cookie. Sprinkle the frosting with assorted candy sprinkles, if using. Gently press one HERSHEY'S KISS milk chocolate candy into the frosting on each cookie. Store the finished cookies in a tightly covered container.
