This Halloween game transforms cooked spaghetti into gross brains filled with toy eyeballs. Players take turns blindfolded, digging through the noodles to find as many eyeballs as possible in one minute. With various head-to-head and team variations, it's a messy, fun challenge for parties.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Put the drained, cooled spaghetti noodles (the "brains") into a large bowl.
  2. Hide the toy eyeballs by pushing them down into the wet noodles.
  3. When it's game time, set the bowl on a table covered with a plastic tablecloth.
  4. Blindfold each player with an eye mask or a towel so they can't peek.
  5. Start a timer for one minute.
  6. Players dig through the noodles to find as many eyeballs as they can within that minute.
  7. After each round, return the eyeballs to the bowl and add a bit more water if the noodles seem dry.
  8. Continue letting kids take turns until everyone has played.
  9. Keep a tally of how many each player finds; the one with the most eyeballs at the end wins.
  10. For a team version, set up two or more bowls of noodles and let players go head-to-head, still giving each team one minute per round.
  11. Teams can race to find all their eyeballs first, or you can time them and see which team collects the most when time runs out.
  12. Keep a running tally of which team wins each round and add up the totals at the end.
  13. To make it extra challenging, get two giant buckets or storage tubs, fill each with about 10 pounds of noodles, and add lots of eyeballs.
  14. Teams then race to find all the eyeballs first or compete to have the most when time is up.
