Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at answerischoco.com.
This project uses Martha Stewart Glitter Finish Decoupage to embellish wood stars and a foam pumpkin. Stars get metallic and glitter paint plus paper accents, while bottlecaps become mini ornaments. The pumpkin is painted metallic and covered with leaf decoupage and a final glittery seal.
You'll need
Directions
- Apply a coat of Black Nickel Metallic paint to the wood stars.
- On some areas of the stars, add Onyx glitter paint, leaving other parts with only the Black Nickel metallic.
- Cut shapes from decoupage paper to cover certain parts of the stars.
- Use the glitter finish decoupage medium to coat the star surface, apply the paper pieces, and then seal the top with more medium.
- Use a paper punch to create circles from leftover paper scraps. Glue these circles inside flattened bottlecaps using the glitter decoupage, then apply another layer of decoupage medium on top.
- Paint the foam pumpkin with Black Nickel Metallic paint, allow it to dry, then apply a second coat.
- Cut leaf shapes from decoupage paper and attach them to the pumpkin using the glitter finish decoupage medium.
- Cover the entire pumpkin with the glitter decoupage medium to achieve a clear, sparkly finish.
