Directions
- Start by gathering the Christmas ball ornaments and clean them so no residue remains.
- Tear newspaper into long, thin strips, aiming for a width between 1/4 and 1/2 inch. The thinner they are, the smoother they'll lay on the ornament.
- In a bowl, combine equal parts water and Mod Podge to create a mixture deep enough to soak the paper strips.
- Submerge each strip completely in the Mod Podge mix, then slide your fingers along it to remove excess liquid.
- Begin wrapping the damp strips around the ornament, making sure to cover the lip as well. Continue until the entire ball is wrapped.
- Cover all ornaments this way and hang them up to dry overnight.
- Once dry, use acrylic craft paint to decorate. Apply a base coat first, let it dry, then add your designs on top.
- Allow the paint to dry completely. If you plan to hang the ornaments, attach a wire and optional beads.
