You'll need
Directions
- Position a metal cookie cutter flat against the pumpkin's surface, then tap one corner with a mallet until it breaks through the skin.
- Continue tapping around all edges and corners of the cutter to drive it fully into the pumpkin.
- Keep adequate gaps between cut-outs so the pumpkin structure remains strong and doesn't collapse.
- If the cut piece doesn't pop out, use the mallet's wooden handle to push the shape through from inside.
- Collect the seeds and pulp in a bowl if you plan to roast the seeds later.
- Once finished, place a battery-operated tea light inside to illuminate your creation at night.
