Make Your Own Monster Game for Kids
Roll the dice and let chance design a one-of-a-kind monster—each number decides eyes, legs, color, and more!
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at mommymadethat.com.
This monster-making game uses dice rolls to determine each part of a creature. Kids roll, match numbers to body parts, draw accordingly, and end up with a unique, silly monster. It's a fun, creative activity that combines art with a bit of randomness.
Directions
- Start by having the child roll the dice. The number they get on the first roll goes into the first blank on the monster printable. That number tells them how many eyes to draw—for example, rolling a 5 means adding five eyes to their monster.
- Roll the dice again. This second number determines the monster's leg count. So if the roll is a 3, the monster gets three legs total.
- Continue rolling for each remaining body part, such as the monster's teeth and arms. Each roll sets the quantity for that feature.
- On the fifth roll, you decide the monster's color. Simply match the number rolled to the color key provided on the printable.
- The sixth and seventh rolls give the monster other descriptive traits, like height, hair, or perhaps a nose.
