This guide walks you through creating a wearable Minecraft Villager head using a free printable template and basic crafting materials like cardboard or foam core. The process involves printing the five-part template on cardstock, trimming the edges, and adhering the panels to a base structure. After cutting out eye holes and assembling the cube, you will construct and attach a 3D nose. Optional pillow stuffing can be added for comfort and fit. The result is a fun, customizable costume piece ready for Halloween festivities.

Directions
- Begin by downloading and printing the free Villager head template, which includes a 3D nose component. You will need to print five separate pages: the front face, two side panels, the top, and the back. For the best color saturation, use bright white cardstock. If you anticipate rainy weather during your Halloween festivities, a color laser printer is recommended to prevent ink from smudging. Once printed, place the sheets on a self-healing mat and use a metal ruler alongside a craft knife to carefully trim away the white borders. Note that each page includes an extra strip of pixelated design to help cover any gaps if you are attaching the printouts to a cardboard box.
- Attach the printed panels to your chosen base material, such as a cardboard box or five individual sheets of foam core cut to match the printout dimensions. Apply purple glue sticks to secure the face, back, sides, and top panels to your base. Allow the adhesive to dry fully before proceeding. Next, use your craft knife, ruler, and mat to carefully cut out the eye openings on the front face panel. Finally, assemble the structure into a cube shape by bonding the edges of the head panels together using a hot glue gun or strong craft adhesive. Allow the entire structure to dry thoroughly before moving to the next stage.
- Construct the three-dimensional nose component by gluing the printed nose pieces onto small cardboard or foam core cutouts using a purple glue stick. Let this layer dry completely. Once dry, use strong adhesive or a glue gun to join these pieces together, forming the 3D nose shape. After the nose has set, attach it securely to the center of the Villager face panel.
- For added comfort and stability, you may insert pillow stuffing into the interior of the head. This step is optional but helpful for positioning the mask correctly on the wearer’s face so they can see through the eye holes. The stuffing also adds cushioning for extended wear during trick-or-treating. While you can permanently secure the stuffing with glue, it is not strictly necessary; the head can remain in place without it, as demonstrated at a school Halloween party.
