These Monster Eye Donuts use just five ingredients: brownie mix, egg, milk, dark chocolate, and candy eyes. After shaping the dough into donuts and baking, they're dipped in melted chocolate and topped with candy eyes for a fun Halloween snack.
Ingredients
Directions
- Set the oven to 350°F and line a 9x13 inch ceramic baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, stir together 250 grams of brownie mix, 1 large egg, and 3-4 tablespoons of milk until well combined.
- Using your hands, knead the mixture until it forms a dough.
- Pinch off a small piece of dough and roll it into a log shape.
- Bring the ends of the log together and gently press to seal, forming a donut shape. Alternatively, you can use a non-stick donut mold.
- Repeat with the remaining dough to create as many donuts as possible.
- Place the shaped donuts into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake the donuts in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.
- Let the donuts cool completely at room temperature. While they cool, melt 1 cup of dark chocolate (chunks or chips).
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and heat in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth and creamy.
- Dip one side of each cooled donut into the melted chocolate, then return it to the baking dish or a wire rack.
- Repeat the dipping process with all remaining donuts.
- Press candy eyes onto the chocolate coating for a spooky Halloween look. Serve and enjoy!
