This pumpkin fruit leather combines pumpkin purée, apple sauce, and pumpkin pie spice for a naturally sweet and spiced snack. Baked low and slow until set, then cut into strips and rolled, it's a fun homemade treat that kids and adults will love.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Set your oven to 175°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  3. In a bowl, whisk the pumpkin, apple sauce, pumpkin pie spice, and honey if included until combined.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared sheet using an offset spatula, aiming for a thickness of 1/8 to 1/4 inch. The layer should be thick enough that you can't see through it, but not excessively thick.
  5. Bake for 4 to 4.5 hours, until the center is firm and no longer jiggly. Allow it to cool completely to room temperature.
  6. Place a large piece of parchment on a counter, then invert the fruit leather onto it. Carefully peel away the silicone mat or parchment from the baking sheet. Using a knife or pizza cutter, slice the leather into strips. Roll each strip up tightly.
