PHOTO · PINKPEPPERMINTDESIGN.COM

This no-carve pumpkin craft uses white glue and fine black glitter to form a shimmering spider web design on a real or faux pumpkin. After drawing the web with glue, you sprinkle glitter over it, let it dry, and brush off excess. Optionally, add a plastic spider for extra spookiness.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Using white Elmer’s glue, sketch a spider web pattern on your pumpkin by forming concentric rings, each with a reverse scallop shape. Keep the glue lines thin for better control, and align the scallop points consistently from one ring to the next.
  2. With the rings complete, draw straight glue lines connecting the scallop points of one ring to the corresponding points of the adjacent ring, creating the web's radial spokes.
  3. Immediately after finishing all glue lines, place the pumpkin on a sheet of paper and generously sprinkle fine black glitter over every part covered with glue.
  4. Shake off the excess glitter, then let the pumpkin dry until the glue is completely set. Once dry, use a dry paintbrush to gently brush away any loose glitter from the pumpkin surface. For a finishing touch, you can place a plastic spider on the web.
