Ingredients

Directions

  1. Start by heating your oven to 350°F (180°C). Prepare a 9x9 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper, leaving about 2 inches of overhang on the sides.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, mix the dark chocolate with the melted butter and heat on high for 3- seconds, then whisk until smooth and fully combined. Set aside about 1/2 cup of this mixture in a separate bowl.
  3. To the larger portion of melted chocolate, add the brown sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, vanilla, and salt. Gently fold with a rubber spatula until everything is incorporated.
  4. Sift together the flour and baking powder, then fold into the chocolate mixture just until combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
  6. Once baked, let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes to reach room temperature.
  7. Slice the brownies into even squares. Dip each square into the reserved melted chocolate, then place on a wire rack set over parchment paper. While the chocolate is still wet, decorate with candy eyeballs and Halloween sprinkles. Serve and enjoy.
