These kid-friendly Halloween snacks use simple ingredients like cherry tomatoes, cream cheese, peas, apples, cheddar cheese, and pepper. The eyeballs are made by stuffing tomatoes with cream cheese and a pea, while the fingers involve carving apple wedges into teeth and shaping cheese strips with pepper nails. Perfect for a fun, healthy party platter.
Ingredients
Directions
- Slice every cherry tomato in half and remove all seeds.
- Stuff the tomato halves with cream cheese.
- Press a pea into the center of the cream cheese to form the eyeball's pupil.
- In a bowl, combine water and lemon juice to create a soak that will keep apple slices from browning.
- Slice each apple into 5 to 6 wedges, then cut away the core and seeds.
- Working with one wedge at a time, cut a zigzag pattern into the skin side to resemble teeth.
- Slice cheddar cheese into strips about the size of a finger.
- Shape each cheese strip into a creepy finger, using the back of a spoon to make knuckle indentations.
- Attach a small pepper piece shaped like a nail to the tip of each finger.
