Create spooky mummy-shaped candy shells filled with Skittles and gummy worms. Melt white candy melts, mold them, then seal and decorate with candy eyes and a drizzle to look like wrapped bandages.
Ingredients
Directions
- Place 1 cup of white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and heat them according to the package directions until melted.
- Spoon the melted candy into the cavity molds, making sure to coat the sides thickly so there are no gaps or holes.
- Put the filled molds in the refrigerator until they are completely hard, then take them out and remove the hardened candy shells from the molds.
- Melt the remaining 1/3 cup of white candy melts, then transfer the melted candy to a plastic bag and snip off a tiny corner.
- Fill one half of each shell with a mix of Skittles and gummy worms—you can make each mummy the same or vary the fillings.
- Warm a plate in the microwave for about 10 seconds, then place an empty shell seam-side down on the warm plate to slightly melt the edge.
- Press the two shell halves together, holding them firmly; add a little extra melted candy along the seam to seal them if needed.
- Attach candy eyes by dabbing a small amount of melted candy on each eye and sticking them onto the mummy.
- Use the leftover melted candy to drizzle lines back and forth over the mummy, creating a wrapped bandage effect.
- Let the mummies set completely before enjoying your creepy, candy-filled treats.
