Directions
- Heat your oven to 375°F.
- Mix the sugar cookie mix with softened butter and egg according to the package instructions.
- Split the dough into two equal portions. Mix black gel food coloring into one portion until evenly tinted.
- Scoop out teaspoon-sized amounts of dough, roll into balls, and place them on ungreased baking sheets.
- For each cookie, break pretzel sticks in half and insert 8 halves into the dough to form spider legs.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cookies are set. Allow them to cool completely.
- Use a small dab of frosting to attach candy eyes to each cooled spider cookie.
