Transform classic deviled eggs into a spooky treat with black olive 'eyes' and a Sriracha pupil. The filling gets a devilish twist from horseradish, liquid smoke, and garlic, making them a perfect savory appetizer for Halloween parties. They stay fresh in the fridge for several days, so you can prepare ahead.
Ingredients
Directions
- Gently remove the cooked yolks from the halved egg whites and put them into a small mixing bowl.
- Add mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, Sriracha, horseradish, minced garlic, liquid smoke, kosher salt, and black pepper. Mash and stir until the mixture is completely smooth. Sample it and modify seasonings to your preference.
- Transfer the yolk mixture into a resealable plastic bag. Cut off about a quarter-inch from one corner.
- Squeeze the filling into the cavity of each egg white half, distributing it equally.
- Set two black olive slices side by side on the filling and gently press them in.
- Put a tiny drop of Sriracha in the center of each olive slice to form the pupil.
- Chill the deviled eggs until serving time. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
