This easy recipe transforms basic rice crispy treats into fun Halloween pops. After shaping and chilling the bars, you'll insert lollipop sticks, coat them in colored white chocolate, and decorate with sprinkles and candy eyes. The result is a festive, kid-friendly treat perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare an 11x13-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment or wax paper.
  2. Combine 5 cups mini marshmallows and ¼ cup butter in a large bowl. Microwave on high for about 1 minute until melted.
  3. Mix in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  4. Add 6 cups crispy rice cereal and stir until well combined.
  5. Press the mixture evenly into the lined pan.
  6. Refrigerate the pan for roughly 15 minutes to chill.
  7. Once chilled, cut the slab into 2x3-inch pieces.
  8. Melt 1 cup milk chocolate chips in the microwave.
  9. Dip one end of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert it into the center of a treat. Repeat for all bars.
  10. Place the stick-equipped treats on a baking sheet and freeze for 20 minutes.
  11. While freezing, melt 4 cups white chocolate in the microwave in 20-second bursts until smooth. Divide into bowls and add a few drops of candy food coloring to each (suggested colors: orange, green, purple).
  12. Remove treats from the freezer.
  13. Dip each treat into the colored melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
  14. While the coating is still wet, add sprinkles, candy eyes, and other decorations. If using a food writer for details like scars or mouths, let the chocolate set a bit first. For multiple color layers, allow the first coat to dry before dipping again.
  15. Place the decorated treats on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for about 10 minutes to set.
  16. Ensure the chocolate is completely hardened before wrapping.
  17. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge to prevent chocolate melting.
