Create adorable monster teacakes for Halloween using just three colors of candy melts and candy eyeballs. Melt the coating, pipe on squiggly designs, and press on eyes to bring each treat to life. A quick chill in the fridge sets the shells for a spooky snack.
Ingredients
Directions
- Arrange the 12 teacakes on a baking sheet or plate lined with parchment paper. Ensure the tray fits in your refrigerator.
- Separate the green, orange, and yellow candy melts into three microwave-safe bowls. Melt one color at a time according to the package directions, watching carefully to avoid overheating.
- Transfer the melted candy to a disposable piping bag or a small resealable plastic bag.
- Cut a tiny tip off the corner of the bag, then pipe zigzag or squiggly lines over the top of one teacake. Repeat this for three more teacakes.
- Immediately add a mix of large and small candy eyeballs onto the wet candy coating to create a monster face.
- Repeat steps 2-5 with the remaining two colors of candy melts until all 12 teacakes are decorated.
- Place the tray in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes until the candy shells are firm.
- Take the tray out and keep the monster teacakes in a cool, dry spot until serving.
