Ingredients
Directions
- Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish with butter.
- In a large pot over low to medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the mini marshmallows and keep stirring until they're fully melted and smooth.
- Pour in the rice krispie cereal and use a spatula to mix until every piece is coated with marshmallow.
- Transfer the mixture to the buttered dish and press it evenly to fill the dish and flatten the top.
- Let the treats rest for half an hour to firm up.
- Once cooled, take the treats out of the dish and slice them into rectangles of different sizes.
- Set up a double boiler by placing a bowl over a small pot of simmering water and add the green candy melts.
- Stir until completely melted. If the coating seems too thick, mix in a teaspoon of vegetable shortening to thin it.
- Dip the top of each treat into the green candy melts, then immediately sprinkle with black jimmies.
- Stick two royal icing eyes onto each treat.
- In a small bowl, microwave the black candy melts in 10-15 second bursts until melted.
- Transfer the melted black candy into a piping bag and draw stitch lines on the treats.
- Wait for the candy to fully harden before storing or packing.
