These Halloween apple monsters are a fun, healthy treat for kids. Made from apple quarters with a peanut butter mouth, strawberry tongue, and sunflower seed teeth, they're quick to assemble and perfect for parties.
Ingredients
Directions
- Slice the apple into four equal quarters. Place each quarter flat side down and carve a 1-inch wedge from the peel side, stopping before cutting through so the piece remains attached—this forms the monster's mouth.
- Cut the strawberries lengthwise into thin slices to get four pieces total.
- Spread peanut butter along the bottom inner edge of each mouth cutout.
- Insert a strawberry slice into the cutout so it sticks out like a tongue.
- Press 6 or 7 sunflower seeds into the top edge of the cutout to create teeth.
- Add edible eyes to the apple quarter to complete the monster face, then serve.
