Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at devourdinner.com.
These Halloween Marshmallow Pops are a fun, easy treat made by dipping marshmallows on sticks into orange candy coating, then adding a yellow top layer. The result is a festive two-tone look perfect for parties or gifting. With options to melt candy wafers in the microwave or Instant Pot, the process is simple and mess-free.
Ingredients
Directions
- Push a sucker stick into each marshmallow, inserting about three-quarters of the way through to hold it securely.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper so the finished pops won't stick.
- Melt the orange candy wafers using one of these methods: Microwave: Heat in a tall bowl for 30 seconds, stir, heat another 30 seconds, stir, then heat in 15-second intervals stirring until smooth. Instant Pot: Add 2 cups water to the pot, place a glass bowl with wafers on top, press Sauté, stir occasionally with a silicone spatula until melted, then switch to Keep Warm.
- Dip a marshmallow pop into the orange coating, covering about three-quarters of the marshmallow and leaving the top white. Let excess drip off and shake gently, then set on the parchment.
- Repeat the orange dip for all 20 marshmallows.
- Melt the yellow candy wafers using your preferred method, again using a tall bowl or mug.
- Take the first orange-dipped pop (it should be dry) and dip the top quarter into the yellow coating so a thick orange ring remains visible. Place back on parchment.
- Repeat the yellow dip for all pops and let them harden completely.
- Store or gift the finished pops in plastic bags—Wilton cake pop bags, candy apple bags, or sandwich baggies all work well.
