Our own summary of the original by Anjali — the full post and photos live at recipemagik.com.
These Halloween Mummy Dogs feature hot dogs wrapped in thin crescent roll strips, baked until golden, then decorated with honey and candy eyes. Pair them with a creepy ketchup-mustard spiderweb dip for a festive and tasty treat.
Ingredients
Directions
- Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) to preheat.
- Open the crescent roll dough and flatten it into a rectangular shape. Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, slice the dough into long strips about 1/4 inch wide.
- Wind the dough strips around each hot dog to mimic mummy bandages, then coat them with a layer of egg wash.
- Place the wrapped hot dogs in the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Once done, add a drizzle of honey on top and press the candy eyes into place.
- To create a spiderweb dip, spoon the ketchup onto a plate, swirl the mustard sauce over it in a spiral pattern, and drag a knife from the center outward to form web lines. Serve the mummy dogs with this dip.
