Transform hot dogs into adorable mummies using crescent roll dough strips. After baking until golden, add mustard faces for a festive look. Perfect for Halloween parties or a quick themed dinner.
Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Roll out the crescent dough sheet and slice it into 4 equal-sized rectangles.
- Using a sharp knife or pizza wheel, cut each rectangle lengthwise into 10 thin strips, so you end up with 40 strips total.
- Take 4 dough strips and wrap them around each hot dog like bandages, gently stretching the dough to cover the hot dog completely.
- Leave a half-inch gap near one end of the hot dog by pulling the dough apart to reveal a small area for the face.
- Arrange the wrapped hot dogs on a large ungreased baking sheet, then mist them lightly with cooking spray.
- Bake for 13 to 17 minutes, until the dough turns light golden brown and the hot dogs are heated through.
- Use the yellow mustard to draw eyes and a mouth on the exposed face area.
