Transform ordinary hot dogs into creepy-cute mummies using crescent roll dough and a few simple ingredients. Wrap each hot dog with thin strips of dough, bake until golden, and add dot eyes with mustard or ketchup. Perfect for a Halloween party or spooky snack.
Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Open the crescent roll can and unroll the dough. Separate it along the perforations to form 4 rectangles, then pinch the seams shut.
- Using a knife or kitchen scissors, slice each rectangle lengthwise into 10 strips, giving you 40 strips total. If using cheese, cut the cheese slices into thin strips.
- For each hot dog, wrap 4 dough strips around it along with a quarter slice of cheese, spacing them like bandages. Leave about half an inch exposed at one end for the face. Place the wrapped hot dogs cheese-side down on an ungreased baking sheet, then lightly spray the dough with cooking spray.
- Bake for 13 to 17 minutes, until the dough is light golden brown and the hot dogs are heated through. Use mustard or ketchup to dot eyes on the exposed face area.
