This Halloween popcorn recipe makes a colorful snack by coating half the popcorn in pumpkin spice candy melts and the other half in black candy melts. After both coatings set, the two batches are mixed together for a festive, crunchy treat. It's an easy, no-bake idea that's great for parties or movie nights.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pour the canola oil into a 6-quart pot with a lid and set the heat to medium-high.
  2. Drop 3 kernels into the pot and cover with the lid.
  3. Once those kernels pop, quickly add the remaining corn kernels in a single layer, replace the lid, and shake the pot.
  4. When popping slows, turn off the heat and keep the lid on until all kernels have popped.
  5. Transfer the pumpkin spice candy melts to a large bowl and melt them following the package instructions.
  6. Add half of the popcorn to the melted candy and stir gently until every piece is evenly coated.
  7. Spread the coated popcorn onto parchment paper in a single layer, breaking up any clumps, and let it set.
  8. While the first batch sets, melt the black candy melts in a separate large bowl using the same method.
  9. Stir the remaining popcorn into the black melted candy until well coated, then spread it onto parchment paper.
  10. Once both batches of popcorn are fully set, mix them together and serve.
