Halloween-Popcorn
Make spooky Halloween popcorn with a sweet orange chocolate drizzle – it's a creepy-cute treat!
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at schninskitchen.de.
This Halloween popcorn recipe starts with stovetop-popped kernels seasoned with powdered sugar. For an extra festive touch, drizzle orange-colored candy melts or white chocolate over the popcorn and let it harden for a crunchy, colorful snack.
Ingredients
Directions
- Warm the sunflower oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the popcorn kernels and immediately cover with a lid (preferably glass), otherwise the popped kernels will fly all over the kitchen.
- The kernels should form just a single layer on the pan bottom. Gradually the corn will start popping. Once the popping slows to occasional pops, remove the pan from the heat quickly.
- Transfer the popcorn to a large bowl, immediately sprinkle with powdered sugar, and mix well.
- Optionally, spread the popcorn on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, drizzle melted orange-colored candy melts or white chocolate (colored orange with oil-based food coloring) back and forth over it, and let it set.
