Create festive Halloween potion bottles by filling glass containers with colored water, then adding either dry ice or a baking soda and vinegar mixture for a bubbling effect. Secure the lids, attach custom labels, and display the bottles in a tray to catch any overflow.

  1. Pour tap water into your glass containers until they reach the three-quarter mark.
  2. Drop in a few squirts of your chosen food coloring, then gently swirl the liquid to distribute the hue evenly.
  3. For a smoky effect, use tongs to lower a small chunk of dry ice into the mixture. This step must be done with an adult present.
  4. To skip the dry ice, stir in one teaspoon of baking soda first, followed by a quarter cup of vinegar to trigger a fizzy reaction.
  5. Screw the lids on firmly to keep the contents inside.
  6. Stick your custom spooky tags onto the glass using adhesive or clear tape.
  7. Set the finished bottles inside a wide bowl or tray to contain any potential spills.
