These Halloween Snickers Mummy Treats combine fun-size Snickers bars with crescent roll dough to create cute, bandage-wrapped pastries. After baking until golden, they're dusted with powdered sugar and topped with candy eyes for a spooky snack that's perfect for parties.
Ingredients
Directions
- Heat your oven to 400°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Open the crescent roll can, unroll the dough, and separate into triangles. Gently stretch each triangle to make it slightly larger.
- Place one Snickers bar vertically on each triangle, about 1 inch down from the short flat side of the dough.
- Cut off the long pointed tip of each dough triangle about 1 inch below the bottom of the Snickers. Set these extra pieces aside.
- Cut horizontal strips into the dough on both sides of the Snickers, from the edge toward the candy.
- Fold the top flap of dough up over the Snickers, then wrap the long strips around the sides, pressing gently to seal. Repeat with the bottom flap. Use remaining strips to crisscross over the body, tucking excess underneath. Leave a small opening near the top for the eyes after baking.
- Take the reserved pointed dough pieces, cut them into thin strips, and add these as extra bandages to each mummy.
- Place the mummies a couple inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for about 10 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple minutes.
- Dust with powdered sugar and press two candy eyeballs onto each mummy.
- Serve warm for best flavor, though they are also delicious at room temperature.
