Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at hgtv.com.
This craft transforms ordinary pumpkins into glittery decorations. You'll spray adhesive on sections, sprinkle glitter with a spoon, and let dry. It's a simple way to add sparkle to your fall decor.
You'll need
Directions
- Cover your workspace with newspaper and a sheet of craft paper on top. Choose pumpkins in different sizes and colors, and plan which glitter shade goes on each.
- Spray the top and middle sections of a pumpkin with adhesive. While still tacky, use a spoon to sprinkle glitter over the sticky areas. Avoid spraying the stem; you can protect it with painter's tape if needed. Let it dry.
- Lift the pumpkin and shake off any loose glitter. Set it aside, then funnel the excess glitter from the craft paper back into its container.
- Place the pumpkin back on the paper, tilt it, and spray the bottom with adhesive. Spoon on glitter until the whole pumpkin is coated. Allow to dry, then shake off extra glitter. Optionally, you can glitter only the top half if you prefer a two-tone look.
