This quick project uses cardboard, black paint, and white paper cutouts to create custom Halloween decorations. Simply cut shapes, paint them black, add white paper designs, and hang them up for an instant eerie effect.

  1. From cardboard, carve out your chosen silhouettes using scissors or a craft knife.
  2. Give the cardboard pieces a coat of black paint and allow them to dry completely.
  3. Cut small decorative elements from white paper—like spider webs, ghosts, or bats.
  4. Affix the white paper cutouts onto the black cardboard shapes with glue.
  5. If any lines or details need emphasis, go over them with a black marker.
  6. Suspend the finished decorations in a window or attach them to your door for display.
