This Halloween party game involves covering 30 cups with orange and green tissue paper, each containing a candy or prize. Arrange the cups into a pumpkin shape on a poster board, decorate with moon, bats, and grass, then let kids poke through to grab their surprise.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Use scissors to cut the orange and green tissue paper into squares. Each square should be large enough to cover a cup's top and drape over the sides. To check size, place a cup upside down on the paper. You'll need 28 orange squares and 2 green ones.
  2. Drop one candy or prize into every cup. Then place a tissue paper square over the opening and fasten it with a rubber band. Do this for all 30 cups.
  3. Position the cups to form a pumpkin shape on the foam core poster board. Check that the arrangement fits within the board's boundaries.
  4. Apply hot glue to the base of each cup and affix it to the poster board. Wait for the glue to dry completely.
  5. Cut a moon shape from yellow construction paper, bats from black construction paper, and grass strips from green construction paper. Glue these decorations onto the poster board around the pumpkin.
  6. When it's game time, let each child pick a cup and poke their finger through the tissue paper to grab the surprise inside. Have fun!
