Start by crumbling a baked dark chocolate cake and mixing in frosting to form a dough. Roll into balls, insert sticks, dip in melted chocolate coating, then decorate with candy eyes and chocolate drizzle for a fun, creepy treat.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs using your fingers.
  2. Mix in half a can of dark chocolate frosting until well combined.
  3. Use a tablespoon cookie scoop to portion the mixture, then roll each portion into a ball about 1.5 to 2 inches in diameter.
  4. Place the cake balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate until firm.
  5. Melt about 1 pound of dark chocolate candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl according to package directions.
  6. Dip the tip of a lollipop stick into the melted coating, then insert it about halfway into a cake ball. Repeat for all pops and return them to the refrigerator.
  7. One at a time, dip each cake pop into the melted coating, tapping off excess. Insert the stick into a styrofoam block to set.
  8. Transfer remaining melted coating to a disposable piping bag, snip the tip, and drizzle squiggly lines over the cake pops.
  9. Press candy eyes randomly onto the wet coating. Let dry completely on the styrofoam block.
