These Monster Dark Chocolate Popcorn Balls are a fun and spooky Halloween treat that combines plain popcorn, raisins, and dark chocolate with candy eyeballs for a creepy yet delicious snack. The recipe involves melting dark chocolate, coating the popcorn and raisins, adding candy eyeballs, and chilling the mixture in silicone muffin cases before serving.
Ingredients
Directions
- Combine the 50 g of plain popcorn and 30 g of raisins in a large mixing bowl.
- Break the 200 g of dark chocolate into small pieces and transfer them to a microwave-safe bowl.
- Heat the chocolate in the microwave using 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each burst to promote even melting. Stop heating as soon as the chocolate becomes smooth and fully melted to avoid scorching.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the popcorn and raisin mixture in the bowl.
- Mix everything together until every piece of popcorn is thoroughly coated in the chocolate.
- Scoop the chocolate-coated popcorn and raisin mixture into silicone muffin liners.
- Press three candy eyeballs into the top of each ball so they adhere to the chocolate.
- Set the filled liners on a tray or plate and refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely firm.
- Take the popcorn balls out of the silicone cases and serve them.
