These Monster Dark Chocolate Popcorn Balls are a fun and spooky Halloween treat that combines plain popcorn, raisins, and dark chocolate with candy eyeballs for a creepy yet delicious snack. The recipe involves melting dark chocolate, coating the popcorn and raisins, adding candy eyeballs, and chilling the mixture in silicone muffin cases before serving.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Combine the 50 g of plain popcorn and 30 g of raisins in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Break the 200 g of dark chocolate into small pieces and transfer them to a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Heat the chocolate in the microwave using 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each burst to promote even melting. Stop heating as soon as the chocolate becomes smooth and fully melted to avoid scorching.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate over the popcorn and raisin mixture in the bowl.
  5. Mix everything together until every piece of popcorn is thoroughly coated in the chocolate.
  6. Scoop the chocolate-coated popcorn and raisin mixture into silicone muffin liners.
  7. Press three candy eyeballs into the top of each ball so they adhere to the chocolate.
  8. Set the filled liners on a tray or plate and refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely firm.
  9. Take the popcorn balls out of the silicone cases and serve them.
