Transform ordinary hot dogs into adorable mummies with crescent dough strips and candy eyes. Bake until golden, then attach eyes with a dab of mustard for a creepy-cute snack that kids and adults will love.
Ingredients
Directions
- Heat your oven to 350°F.
- Pat the hot dogs dry with paper towels to remove any moisture, then set them aside.
- Unroll the crescent dough and press the perforated seams together to seal. Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut the dough into strips about ¼ inch wide; the length doesn't matter.
- Wrap the dough strips around each hot dog, crossing them slightly for a mummy look. Avoid overlapping too many layers so they bake evenly, and leave a small gap for the eyes.
- Place the wrapped hot dogs on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the dough is golden brown.
- Use a dab of mustard (or ketchup) to stick two candy eyes onto each mummy.
