These Orange Fruit Jack-O-Lanterns are a fun and healthy Halloween treat. Hollow out oranges, carve faces, and fill with blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries for a festive snack.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Wash all fruit thoroughly, then pat dry with a towel.
  2. Hold a large orange steady. With a straight-edged knife, cut a circle around the top by angling the knife inward as you go. Lift off the top and set it aside.
  3. Use a small spoon to gently scoop out the orange flesh and juice, transferring them to a small bowl.
  4. Once the orange is hollow, use a small knife to carve a jack-o-lantern face into the peel. Be creative—try square eyes, triangle eyes, a smile, or big teeth.
  5. Cut the very tip off 3 strawberries. Place one strawberry top on each orange lid as a garnish, securing with a toothpick or a dab of honey.
  6. Slice the remaining strawberries into quarters, then cut each quarter in half again.
  7. Evenly divide the blackberries, blueberries, and sliced strawberries among the hollowed oranges. Serve with a toothpick or tiny spoon.
