These peeps cookies start with cut-out sugar cookies frosted in pastel buttercream. Then they're dipped in sanding sugar and finished with black sugar pearl faces for a cute, festive treat.

- Take your baked and cooled peeps-shaped sugar cookies and cover them with tinted buttercream in yellow, blue, purple, or pink. You can pipe it on or spread it with a knife.
- If you like a perfectly smooth finish, run an offset spatula or the back of a knife over the frosting to even it out.
- Press the frosted side of each cookie gently into a dish filled with sanding sugar (matching the frosting color). Lift it out and tap off any extra sugar.
- Decorate with black sugar pearls for eyes and a mouth. Serve and enjoy your cute peeps cookies!
