Turn your favorite cookies into creepy-crawly spider treats with peanut butter cup bodies and chocolate legs!
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at helloyummy.co.
These spider cookies start with a peanut butter or chocolate chip cookie as the base. A mini peanut butter cup forms the body, and melted chocolate creates eight legs. Add candy eyes and optional sprinkles for a spooky, fun Halloween snack.
Ingredients
Directions
- Start with a cookie (peanut butter or chocolate chip, homemade or store-bought). Add a small dab of icing or melted chocolate to the center, then press a mini peanut butter cup on top to form the spider’s abdomen.
- Using melted chocolate, pipe eight legs spreading out from the peanut butter cup. Each side should have four legs for a realistic spider look.
- Attach two candy eyes near the top of the peanut butter cup using a bit of icing or melted chocolate as glue.
- For extra flair, optionally sprinkle miniature chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or colorful sprinkles over the spider’s body before the chocolate sets.
