This Halloween game challenges kids to toss toy bugs through a hanging spider web into containers on the other side. Players get three tries, and prizes are awarded based on how many bugs land in the bins. It's easy to set up with a rope web, a few baskets, and some plastic insects.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Hang the rope web so it's suspended in the air with several feet of clearance behind it, allowing space for containers to catch the thrown insects.
  2. Place at least one container—like a laundry basket—about 3 to 4 feet behind the web. You can set out multiple bins if you like.
  3. Have children stand behind a line drawn 2 to 4 feet from the net. Let younger kids move closer to give them a fair shot at winning.
  4. Give each player three toy insects to toss from one side of the web into the containers on the opposite side.
  5. Award a consolation prize if no bugs land in the containers, a medium prize if one or two land, and the top prize if all three make it in.
