Spooky Ham and Cheese Tart
Turn crescent dough into a spooky ham and cheese tart with ghost-shaped mozzarella and beady black bean eyes.
Our own summary of the original by thetipsyhousewife — the full post and photos live at thetipsyhousewife.org.
This easy Halloween appetizer starts with a buttery crescent crust topped with Alfredo sauce and ham. After baking, you'll arrange ghost cutouts from mozzarella slices and warm them briefly in the oven. Finish with black bean faces for a frightfully fun snack.
Ingredients
Directions
- Line your baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and lightly mist with nonstick spray.
- Unroll the dough and press it to cover the entire bottom of the pan.
- Warm your oven to 350°F and partially bake the dough for about 6 minutes.
- Take it out carefully, spread Alfredo sauce all the way to the edges, and scatter the shaved ham over top.
- Continue baking until the crust is golden and the top looks lightly toasted.
- Switch off the oven. Cut ghost shapes from the cheese slices using a cookie cutter or template, place them on the hot tart, and return the pan to the warm oven for about a minute—just long enough to soften the cheese without melting it fully. Watch closely. Add black bean pieces for eyes and a mouth.
