Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at eatsamazing.co.uk.
This simple snack project uses a sharp knife to score shallow lines into banana peels, creating a web pattern that darkens after five minutes. The result is a fun, spooky treat perfect for lunch boxes or Halloween parties.
Ingredients
Directions
- Peel apart the bananas so each one stands on its own.
- Take a sharp knife and gently drag it from the top to the bottom of a banana, making a shallow cut in the peel without piercing the fruit inside.
- Continue this process until you have made four or five parallel vertical marks along the length of the banana.
- Add tiny, curved slashes between those vertical lines to form a web-like design across the surface.
- Allow the bananas to sit for five minutes so the cut areas darken to a brown color.
- Place them in lunch boxes or arrange them with plastic spiders for a festive treat.
