Turn a simple box of jars into a spooky trick-or-treat guessing game with this easy DIY project.
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at thecountrychiccottage.net.
Transform a package of jars into a Halloween party game by decorating lids with eyeball labels and covering the box with black duct tape. Fill each jar with treats, add a contents label, and attach printable signs on craft sticks for a finishing touch. This craft repurposes the original packaging for a fun, interactive game.
Directions
- Print eyeball designs onto 1.5-inch circle labels. Attach a large brown kraft label to each jar lid, then center a small eyeball label on top.
- Wrap the original cardboard box that holds the jars completely with black duct tape. This box will serve as the game board.
- Repeat the labeling process for all jars in the box. Once lids are decorated, place the jars back into the taped box along with their intended contents.
- Hot glue printable signs onto craft sticks, then glue the sticks to the back of the game box as shown.
- Fill each jar with candy or small toys (trick-or-treat items) and add a label to the front—write the contents of that jar on the label.
