These White Chocolate Mummy Crispy Rice Treats are a fun Halloween twist on a classic dessert. Butter and marshmallows form the base, then they're cut into rectangles and decorated with white chocolate to resemble mummy wrappings. Candy eyeballs complete the spooky look, making them perfect for parties or gifting.
Ingredients
Directions
- Coat a 9-by-13-inch baking dish lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large saucepan, heat the butter on medium until melted. Add the marshmallows and stir continuously until fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Take the pan off the heat. Mix in the vanilla and crispy rice cereal until combined. Transfer the mixture to the prepared dish. Using a sheet of wax paper, press it down firmly and evenly.
- Allow the treats to cool for several hours. Slice them into 15 equal rectangular pieces. Take the rectangles out and place them on a work surface.
- Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler over medium-low heat, stirring frequently. Once smooth, pour it into a large zip-top bag. Cut a tiny corner off the bag.
- Drizzle the white chocolate over each rectangle to create a mummy-wrap appearance. Immediately press two candy eyeballs onto each treat so they stick before the chocolate sets.
- Let the treats cool entirely. They can be served right away or kept in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
