Add chocolate chips, Indian candy corn, and candy pumpkins for a festive, crunchy treat.
Ingredients
Directions
- Set aside 35 black candy melt disks. Melt the remaining black candy melts following the package instructions.
- Line a flat surface with foil or parchment paper. Place the 35 reserved candy disks on the lined surface.
- Dip the wide end of each Bugle into the melted black chocolate, then place it onto a candy disk. Repeat for all 35 Bugles. Let them sit for 5 minutes. If the chocolate hardens, remelt it.
- Dip the entire Bugle and attached disk into the melted black chocolate, then tap off any excess. Let the hats sit for 10 minutes to harden.
- Melt the orange candy melts according to package directions. Spoon into a piping bag or a plastic sandwich bag with a tiny corner snipped off. Pipe an orange ring around the rim of each witch hat. Let the chocolate harden.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine 1/2 cup chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring after each, until melted and smooth.
- In an extra-large bowl, combine the Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo-Berry cereals. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cereal and toss to coat evenly.
- Pour the powdered sugar into a gallon-sized resealable bag. Add the coated cereal, seal the bag, and shake until all cereal pieces are covered in sugar.
- Spread the coated cereal onto a flat surface to cool. In a large bowl, mix together the cooled cereal, the remaining 1 cup chocolate chips, Indian candy corn, and candy pumpkins.
- Either mix the witch hats into the puppy chow or sprinkle them on top before serving.
