Ingredients
Directions
- Warm the Wilton Candy Melts in a microwave-safe glass bowl following the package directions, heating gently to avoid scorching.
- Alternatively, if you lack pre-colored melts, tint white Candy Melts with a few drops of Wilton Leaf Green icing color. To save money, use a coupon from Michaels, JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby.
- Set up workstations for each ingredient: place whole pretzel rods in one area and sliced almonds in another. Remove any broken pretzels and set them aside, and sort almond slices to keep only the whole ones.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Once a pretzel rod is coated, set it on the parchment to harden.
- While the candy coating is still wet, use a toothpick to draw finger creases, cleaning the toothpick on a paper towel after each line. Finally, press a sliced almond onto the top for a fingernail.
- These pretzel witch fingers can be prepared several days in advance and stored in the freezer if desired.
- Save the broken pretzel pieces! After finishing the whole rods, use any remaining candy melts to create smaller treats for snacking.
