Transform pizza night into a Halloween feast with these adorable yet savory pizza skulls. Made from pre-made dough and filled with sauce, cheese, and your favorite toppings, they bake up golden and crispy. Serve with marinara for dipping and watch them disappear.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Lightly coat the mini skull baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. On a floured surface, roll or stretch the pizza dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into 6 roughly equal rectangles.
  3. Place one dough rectangle into a skull cavity. Add pizza sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, and your chosen toppings. Spoon a little extra sauce (no more than 1 tablespoon) on top of the fillings.
  4. Fold the dough over the fillings and pinch the edges to seal, forming a small pizza pocket. Repeat for all 6 pieces.
  5. Refrigerate the filled skull tray while the oven preheats.
  6. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  7. Remove the tray from the fridge and bake for 16–20 minutes, until the skulls are lightly golden brown. (Baking time may vary depending on the dough.)
  8. Let the skulls cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then unmold. Serve with marinara sauce and a sprinkle of chopped parsley or basil if desired.
