This Halloween DIY project transforms everyday containers like soda bottles and pickle jars into a creepy apothecary cabinet. By adding printed labels, black spray paint, and eerie fillers such as eyeball candy and green food coloring, you create a convincing potion station. Rubber body parts complete the unsettling scene, perfect for a haunted house or party.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Head to Johnny Love's Love Manor site or Flickr page to get his free Halloween label printables.
  2. Adjust the label sizes as needed, then print them on paper.
  3. Collect various containers: apothecary jars, a pickle jar, a vinegar bottle, a salad dressing bottle, and a 2-liter bottle of fruit punch.
  4. Spray paint any lids that aren't already black with black spray paint.
  5. Affix the printed labels onto the containers.
  6. Add items inside the jars: put eyeball candies in one, and combine water with green food coloring in another for a poison look.
  7. Place rubber body parts around the setup to enhance the creepy atmosphere.
