Make your own glow-in-the-dark Halloween slime with just glue, Tide, and polymer clay!
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at kimspireddiy.com.
This Halloween craft guides you through making mini slime cups in pumpkin, ghost, and Frankenstein designs. You'll create glow-in-the-dark slime using white glue and Tide, then craft polymer clay lids shaped like tops. Each cup gets a painted face, and the slime color matches the character.
You'll need
Directions
- Pour some Elmer’s white glue into a mixing bowl.
- Stir in a generous amount of glow-in-the-dark paint until the color is even.
- Slowly add Tide laundry detergent (avoid the blue version) while stirring until the mixture turns into slime.
- Roll out a piece of polymer clay into a flat sheet using your hands or a rolling pin.
- Press the rim of a mini shot glass into the clay to cut out a small circle.
- Use a slightly larger circular object (like a bottle cap) to cut out a second, bigger circle from the clay.
- Place the smaller circle on top of the larger one, then bake the clay according to the package instructions.
- After the clay has cooled, use the shot glass as a guide to position the clay piece on top of the cup.
- Paint or draw a face on the cup to match your design: Frankenstein, pumpkin, or ghost.
- To create different colored slimes, repeat the slime-making process using orange paint for pumpkin, white for ghost, and green for Frankenstein.
